Systematic Recycling.

By using and recycling waste paper—and, in some cases, pulp—we are part of a functioning recycling system that has been proven to conserve our environment’s resources. In total, we recycle approximately 1,000,000 metric tons of waste paper annually in more than 10 different grades.

To secure a supply of raw fiber materials, we work with various waste management companies that deliver the collected material to us for further processing. At the same time, we are always interested in getting to know new suppliers.

Our Recycled Paper Grades

In accordance with the EN 643 list of European standard grades and the Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI), we primarily use the following grades of recovered paper:

Group 1: Lower-grade varieties
1.02.00 Mixed waste paper A mixture of different paper, cardboard and paperboard qualities, containing a maximum of 40% newspapers and magazines. 1.03.00 Grey cardboard Printed and unprinted, white-coated and uncoated grey cardboard or a mixture of both, free of corrugated board. 1.04.00 Department store waste paper Used paper and cardboard packaging containing at least 70% corrugated board; the remainder consists of packaging made of paper, cardboard, and corrugated board. 1.05.00 Old corrugated cardboard packaging Used boxes and sheets of corrugated cardboard of varying qualities may contain up to 10% other packaging papers, cartons and cardboard.
Group 2: Medium-sized varieties
2.03.01 White chips with light pressure, without adhesive White chips with light pressure, coated or uncoated, consisting mainly of wood-containing paper, without adhesive.
Group 3: Better Varieties
3.04.00 White shavings with light pressure, wood-free White, wood-free shavings without glue, lightly pressed, free of wet-strength or dyed paper. 3.10.00 Multi-print Wood-free, coated paper with light pressure, as sheets or edge sections, free from wet-strength or dyed paper. 3.18.01 White uncoated shavings, wood-free White uncoated shavings, wood-free, shavings and scraps of unprinted paper, wood-free, white, free of coated papers, without adhesive backing.
Group 4: High-Yielding Varieties
4.01.00 Unused cardboard and corrugated cardboard shavings Unused packaging, sheets and chips of corrugated cardboard with kraft and/or testliner covers. 4.02.00 Used corrugated cardboard 1 Used corrugated cardboard packaging, lids exclusively with kraft liners, fluting made of cellulose or chemo-thermomechanical wood pulp (CTMP).
