FuelMotion\u00ae Diesel H (HVO 100) is a substitute fuel in accordance with EN 15940 for conventional diesel, which is produced from residual cooking fats\/oils. So it is actually (also) made from old chip fat – without smelling like it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although PKV has already electrified around 80 percent of its vehicle fleet, there are special vehicles, such as very large wheel loaders, that will have to operate with an internal combustion engine for the foreseeable future. Despite a drastic reduction in fuel consumption in recent years, PKV still requires around 100,000 liters per year. A non-fossil solution has now been found for this with HVO 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This substitute fuel consists of plants that have absorbed CO2 during growth. This amount of CO2 is released again during combustion – similar to wood. However, unlike fossil diesel made from crude oil, no more CO2 is released into the atmosphere than was there before the plants grew. According to the manufacturer, HVO 100 saves up to 90 percent of the usual emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
